> [!info]+ Your membership tiers have a page anyone can look at. Prices, billing and perks, visible without an account, at a link you can put anywhere. Until now the only way to see a membership was to already have an account, log in, and go looking inside a profile. That meant you could not send anyone a link, and nobody could work out what a tier cost before signing up. Now there is a page on your booking site listing every tier that is open to public signup, with its price, its billing schedule and what it gives a member. A **Memberships** link is added to your site navigation automatically. You did not have to switch this on. If you run memberships, you already have it. ![[public-memberships.png]] ## What people see What appears on the page depends on who is looking at it. ### Somebody who is not signed in Every tier, with its name, icon, price, billing schedule and perks, exactly as a member would see them. There are no join buttons here, because a membership has to belong to an account. Instead the page says so and offers to register or log in. This is the state most of your traffic will be in, and it is the reason the page exists: somebody can work out whether a tier is worth it before they commit to anything. ### A customer who is signed in but is not a member The same tiers, each with a button to choose it. Picking one takes them to Stripe Checkout and brings them back to their own membership page afterwards. It is the same signup that already existed inside their profile, so nothing about paying is new or different. ### Somebody who is already a member The tiers stay visible, but the buttons become a link through to their own membership instead. In your site navigation, the **Memberships** link is replaced by their actual tier name. That includes a customer whose membership you assigned but who has not paid for it yet. They get the shortcut too, because their membership page is where that payment gets started. ## Sharing the link The page sits on your own booking site, so the link is yours to use however you like: - In your Instagram or Facebook bio - In a newsletter to customers who are not members yet - On your own website, if your booking site is separate from it - On a poster or a card at the desk, as a QR code - In a reply to anybody who asks what membership cost ## If the page is not showing Two things to check. **At least one tier has to be open to public signup.** If every tier you run is assigned by staff, there is nothing for a visitor to choose, so the page stays hidden even with everything else set correctly. Open your tiers and check that setting first. **Membership billing runs through Stripe.** If your studio is not set up to bill subscriptions, the page will not appear. ## What this page is not > [!warning] Worth knowing before you plan a campaign around it > - It is the tier cards, not a landing page you can lay out, add your own copy to or brand beyond your existing site styling. > - There are no trials, promotional offers or discount codes on public signup. > - Tiers are listed as cards, not set side by side as a comparison table. > - It shows your memberships on your own site. It is not a directory of memberships across studios. ## Where to go next - [[Getting Started with Memberships]] - turning memberships on and creating your first tier - [[Membership Tiers]] - every setting on the tier form and what it does - [[Membership Payments]] - billing members automatically each month - [[Assigning Members]] - start dates, scheduled memberships and expiry
